Legal Description of San Fernando valley Special Reorganization Area

 

From the point commencing where the City of Los Angeles' most northerly boundary intersects with the eastern most edge of the Golden State Freeway and following on the City of Los Angeles boundary on a generally easterly and southerly direction as the boundary follows along the Los Angeles County boundary, Glendale City boundary and the Burbank City boundary until the boundary intersects the westernmost edge of Barham Blvd.; thence following along the westernmost edge of Barham Blvd. in a southerly direction to the southern line of the Rancho Providencia Tract; thence westerly and northerly along the Rancho Providencia Tract to the City of Los Angeles and Los Angeles County boundary at the eastern edge of Universal Studios Los Angeles County property; thence following the easternmost Universal Studios Los Angeles County boundary in a northerly direction to the northernmost edge of the Universal Studios Los Angeles County boundary; thence following along the existing City of Los Angeles boundary in a westerly, southerly and then an easterly direction to its intersection with the northern edge of Coral Dr.; thence following along the northern edge of Coral Drive in an easterly direction to its intersection with the City of Los Angeles and Los Angeles County boundary at the southernmost corner of the Universal Studios Los Angeles County property; thence following the southeasternmost Universal Studios Los Angeles County boundary, in a northerly direction to the southernmost corner of Lot 117 of Tract No. 7354; thence following along the Universal Studios boundary in a generally easterly direction to the westernmost edge of Barham Blvd.; thence following along the westernmost edge of Barham Blvd. in a  southwesterly direction to its intersection with the centerline of the Hollywood/101 Freeway; thence following the centerline of the Hollywood/101 Freeway in a northerly direction to its intersection with the centerline of Lankershim Blvd.; thence following the centerline of Lankershim Blvd. in a southwesterly direction to its intersection with the northerly prolongation of the westerly line of Lot 1 of Tract No. 17322, as shown on the map filed in Book 647, pages 73, 74, and 75 of Tract Maps, in the office of the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles; thence southerly along said northerly prolongation to the northwesterly corner of said lot; thence continuing southerly along the boundary of said tract to the most northerly corner of Lot 40 of Tract No. 26748 recorded in Book 710, pages 55, 56, and 57 of said maps; thence southeasterly and southerly along the boundary of said last mentioned tract to the northerly boundary of Lot 2 of  PROPERTY OF THE LANKERSHIM RANCH LAND AND WATER CO., as shown on the map recorded in Book 66, pages 83, 84, and 85 of Miscellaneous Records in the office of said recorder; thence northerly along said last mentioned boundary to the easterly line of the said last mentioned lot; thence southerly along said easterly line and its southerly prolongation to its intersection with the centerline of Mulholland Dr.; thence following the centerline of Mulholland Dr. in a generally westerly direction to its westernmost intersection with the Topanga State Park boundary; thence following along the Topanga State Park boundary in a generally westerly direction to its intersection with the City of Los Angeles boundary;  thence following the City of Los Angeles boundary in a northwesterly direction along the Los Angeles County boundary, Calabasas City boundary and Hidden Hills City boundary to the point where the City of Los Angeles boundary first abuts the Ventura County boundary; thence following the City of Los Angeles boundary in a northerly direction to its most northwestern point; thence following the City of Los Angeles boundary in an easterly direction to the original point of commencement at the easternmost edge of the Golden State Freeway.

 

Excepting therefrom all of the City of San Fernando as the same existed on May 15, 2002.
