following matter was called up for consideration:
Protest Hearing on Midbury
Area Detachment No. 2002-06 (
On motion
of Commissioner Herrera, unanimously carried (Commissioners DiGiuseppe and Proo being absent),
the Commission took the following actions

Determined that there were no protests
filed against the proceeding.
Adopted the attached Resolution No. 2003-09 Ordering Midbury Area Detachment No. 2002-06 from the Consolidated Fire Protection District of Los Angeles County.
On motion of Commissioner Yaroslavsky,
unanimously carried (Commissioners DiGiuseppe and
Proo being absent), the Commission approved the disbursement
of the Special Reorganization Fund balance.

On motion of Commissioner Yaroslavsky, unanimously carried carried

being absent), the Commission approved the amendments to employee contracts
for Sera Grossman,
Vacation and Sick leave: Employees with
1 to 5 years employment earn 10 vacation days and 6 sick leave days each year.
Employees with 5 to 10 years earn 15 vacation days each year.

have his vacation days earned increased from 10 days to 15 days effective

The Executive
Officer reported on the status of the Municipal Service Reviews. The Commission instructed the Executive Officer
to draft letters for signature by Supervisors Burke and Knabe regarding the cities in their respective districts whose
Request For Information (RFI) remain outstanding. Commissioner Madrid requested a list of the
City Manager’s who have yet to respond to the RFI.

check register. The Executive Officer
also presented the budget report. Mr.
Jim McQuiston addressed the Commission regarding
the budget report.
